DALLAS – The Dallas Stars made a roster move hours after announcing controversial forward Sean Avery would not be returning to the team.Dallas acquired forward Brian Sutherby from the Anaheim Ducks for David McIntyre and a conditional 2010 sixth-round draft pick.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks centre Jeremy Roenick probably will be out for three weeks after injuring his shoulder.Roenick was hurt in the first period of the NHL-leading Sharks’ 2-0 victory over Anaheim on Thursday night, crashing against the boards on a hit by defenceman Brett Festerling.
