Vancouver Canucks hire former NHL player Scott Mellanby as a consultant to GM

VANCOUVER - Scott Mellanby, who played more than 1,400 games with five NHL teams, has been hired by the Vancouver Canucks to serve as a consultant to general manager Mike Gillis and the hockey operations department.
