Hey Doug, check TSN (Canadian media) right now for a “South of Canada” rumor about Preissing signing with LA.
Hey guys—Here’s a final answer for you on the question about the Caps new colors (orange vs red). The Caps director of media relations confirms that they’re red, white, and blue. Specifically, they’re Pantone red 186 and Pantone blue 282 (Pantone is a widely-used color-matching and reference system). Those colors are very close to the colors of the US flag, which, incidentally, are equivalent to Pantone red 193 and blue 281. Long story short, the Caps once again wear red, white, and blue—though a bit different from their original colors, according to info the Caps sent me when I asked about it. Anyway, question settled. I can’t wait to get my new Caps jerseys! I’m a die-hard from the ’70s and I’ve waited 12 years to get back to the real Caps colors.
