Staal scores pair of goals, paces Canes’ 6-2 rout of Islanders

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Eric Staal scored two goals, including one in Carolina's big first period, and the Hurricanes kept pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
