  1. Doug, I’m sorry, but I can’t believe you brought up race when talking about P. K. Subban. His reputation has nothing to do with race. He chirps constantly, he cheap shots guys (his favorite move is to slew foot a guy) and when you challenge him he won’t stand up for himself. Above all that, he does the one thing all Canadiens are known for: he takes dives (see the LaCavalier play). It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with a guy who is a rookie, acting like he’s been in the league for ten years, playing the game the cowardly way that the Montreal Canadiens like to play.

  2. Wow you guys are really Pens haters. Players, ownership and now announcers. Too bad there isn’t as much said about the other teams in the league when they do negative things. Time to kinda tuck that bias in and move on. Kings or Ducks news anyone? They must not have going on to talk about this season.

  3. Hi guys! Excellent show as always!

About the coach who wanted to fight Jagr in the KHL, its Raimo Summanen. He was the coach of the finnish national team in 2004 and was fired because of conflicts with players in the team, i think it was with Janne Niinimaa. He was also fired when he coached in the swiss league, apparently applauding when the opposite team scored! 🙂

Finnish media reported that Summanen was fired after the Jagr altercation but this was denied later by Avangard Omsk.

    Keep up the good work!

  4. In reply to Ed Moore,

Personally, I don’t think Eddie and Doug are Pens haters at all. I seem to recall them being very complimentary about them in the past.

How can anyone take Mario Lemieux’s comments about violence in hockey seriously, when he employs Matt Cooke?

The Pens’ announcers are as partisan as any in the league, which is to say: very. As I say, I don’t think the guys are anti-Pens, I just feel that the Pens’ piety is somewhat misplaced.
