  1. I know a lot of guys don’t like Burrows much… But raggin’ on him for being lucky to play with the Sedins is kinda crazy… He’s playing on a $2M contract a year–I think he knows who he is…

  2. Eddie:

When you, Mike and Jeff were discussing possible Conn Smythe Trophy winners, I believe Jeff said only goalies have won the Conn Smythe from a losing team. According to Wikipedia, five players from a losing team won the Smythe. Four of them: J-S Gugiere (Anahiem 2003), Ron Hextall (Philadelphia 1987), Glen Hall (St. Louis 1968) and Roger Crozier (Detroit 1966). The ONE position player to win the Smythe is Reggie Leach (Philadelphia 1976) when the Flyers lost to Montreal.

Just wanted to set the record straight.

  3. Denny – Hey hey hey, don’t confuse me with Mike. I would NEVER make a mistake like that!

Just kidding. We did not have the notes in front of us; Mike was just speculating. He was pretty close though, and that is pretty good for coming off the top of his head.

Thanks for the info. I’ll make sure to pass this on to Mike and I’m sure Eddie will see this.

  4. Jeff:

I wasn’t trying to slam either you or Mike. The comment about Smythe winners from a losing team got me curious so I researched it and posted the info for all to use.

I listen to the podcast every week and savor the information I get from it. Eddie and Doug are fortunate to have people like you and Mike available “on call” to help out on an already excellent program.
