  1. Did anyone find an easy way to answer the trivia? I had to go to Wikipedia and go through all 30 teams season-by-season results and look it up that way. haha. I sure as hell hope I didn’t miss any.

  2. To back up Doug’s point concerning the Winter Classic, this is from Michael Farber in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated:

“…the Winter Classic now dwarfs All-Star weekend as the midseason showcase despite, or maybe because, it looks nothing like the other 1,229 games on the schedule. The Winter Classic is the hockey game for people that don’t like hockey.”

  3. Doug,

I too want a San Jose/Colorado Winter Classic. If this is a game for the casual sport fan and you want to market the game towards them (Which I think is the overall consensus), than the Western Teams not named Chicago or Detroit has to get involved. That, and I would love a 24/7 that follows my team around like they had this last year. I echo the sentiment about looking more forward to 24/7 than the Winter Classic itself.

I have a question about the sponsor. I thought Imagemasters and Tally Hockey Jersey’s kind of sponsored the show. I’m assuming the difference between Sponsor and friend of the podcast is one pays you guys and the others don’t? Nice to get the Podcast more spread out and perhaps get even more listeners.

  4. Just wanted to say congratulations on getting your first sponsor.

I’ve been listening to the show since early 2009 and the dedication and passion you guys show for both the sport and the podcast makes it a great listen every week. Keep up the great work, and go Kings!

  5. Congratulations on your first sponsor! I checked out their website and I will definitely be buying some shirts. Didn’t see my team, the Canucks, there yet though.
Looking forward to many more fabulous podcasts! Keep up the great work!!

  6. Winter Classic idea…

Ducks vs. Kings @ Long Beach harbor. It could possibly turn into a water polo match, (fair warning).
