  1. I was intrigued with your “Question of the Week” from this podcast, but I did not have a chance to listen to it until you had already posted the new podcast. But I thought I would respond anyway.

    Your question was about our opinion on increasing the size of the goal. That instantly reminded me of an article I read a few weeks ago about the idea of changing the color of the net.

    The general idea is that if you make the net red (and the post a neutral gray), that it will focus the shooter’s attention slightly more on the net and might increase scoring slightly. This would allow for a slightly higher scoring game, without changing how the goaltenders play or how much of the goal they really have to cover.
