A little background on the ‘walking corpse’ that sings the American national anthem. His name is Richard Loney and he IS a legendary Vancouver personality. He’s a member of the Vancouver Opera and been singing the national anthems since the team’s inception in 1970. He had a stroke a couple of years ago so he isn’t as emphatic as he used to be, but he still sits in the stands with the fans during the games.
Having said all that, I did laugh for that entire bit.
