  1. I agree that avid fans don’t have a lot of options to apply pressure and pain to the owners. I was wondering if the league’s anti-trust exemption could be revisited by the government if the lockout continues. I seem to remember that the exemption was held over the head of the NFL for one of the labor stoppages. I believe Congress started to apply pressure. Should fans contact their representatives?

    On a similar track, I saw this post this morning: The NHL dispute is now attracting the attention of two New Jersey senators, who are urging both sides to settle. U.S. Sens. Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez sent a letter Monday to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Don Fehr urging them to consider the economic impact on their state if the dispute is not resolved.
