Penguins sign Evgeni Malkin to five-year extension

July 2 isn't all bad news for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The same day the team lost star winger Marian Hossa to their Stanley Cup final counterpart Detroit Red Wings, the Penguins locked up Malkin, one of their young phenoms, to a five-year extension.
