Lightning sign free agent defenseman Marek Malik for one year

Marek Malik has come to terms with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a one-year contract reportedly worth a pro-rated $1.2 million. The 6-foot-6, 240 pound Malik has played 649 career NHL games and was last with the New york Rangers.
