Flyers name former coach Bill Barber as scouting consultant

The Philadelphia Flyers have named Bill Barber as a scouting consultant. Barber, 56, had spent the previous six seasons (2002-03 through 2007-08) as director of player personnel for the Tampa Bay Lightning, including their Stanley Cup Championship season in 2003-04.
