Centre Frans Nielsen agrees to four-year deal with Islanders

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Danish centre Frans Nielsen agreed to a US$2.1-million, four-year contract with the New York Islanders on Saturday. Nielsen, the first Danish citizen to play in the NHL during the 2006-07 season, split last season between the Islanders and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
