  1. I’m almost worried nobody is picking Detroit to get upset. But I honestly thing they get beaten by hot goaltending, they don’t choke. Every team that beats them ends up playing in the Final. And I don’t see Dan Ellis as the next Kiprusoff or Giguere (Roloson WAS a fluke.)

  2. No mention in your latest pod cast playoff preview of Darren McCarty’s return doing anything for the Red Wings in the playoffs?
He was a favorite of Wings fans, and is an added dose of physical play – which they will certainly need despite their finesse style of play….
Even though I assume he will get limited ice time, I think you guys should keep an eye on him. The first goal of his return game was scored on an assist from him, after all. SO good to see him in a red&white sweater again… and even better when he grows that Shaggy (Scooby Doo) playoff beard…
Thanks guys for the best source of hockey coverage on the internet – your pod cast and Coach’s Corner on cbc.ca are what keep me happy here in hockey starved Kansas…

  3. WOW! I find myself running and re-running the NHL.com video replays of the Ducks imploding yet again, at home! As I’ve said all year, the Ducks need to remember that between being the dirtiest team on the ice, and having the “dirtiest player in recent history” (quote from Barry Melrose Friday), they need to remember to play hockey. Hopefully Dallas finishes them off at home.

  4. Nice call by Dustin. No one mentions that the team to knock the Wings out of the playoffs each of the last 4 seasons has gone on to play in the Cup Finals – Anaheim, Edmonton, Calgary, and Anaheim.
